Developer Shift Up and publisher Sony are being sued by a film production company in Louisiana called Stellarblade over the name of the PlayStation exclusive Stellar Blade.
According to IGN, Stellarblade and its owner, Griffith Chambers Mehaffey, are suing Shift Up and Sony, both for damages and to prevent the name from being used further. This includes asking that they both stop using the Stellar Blade name or any similar names, as well as handing over all materials in their possession with the name “Stellar Blade” so that they can be destroyed.
In the lawsuit, Mehaffey claimed that he has owned the stellarblade.com domain name since 2006 and that the company started in 2010. Shift Up registered the name Stellar Blade as a video-game-related trademark in January 2023, while Mehafffey registered his own for Stellarblade in June. A month later, he then claimed to sent a cease-and-desist letter to Shift Up.
Mehaffey also claimed that when customers look for Stellarbl…

Read moreIf you’re a Call of Duty: Warzone or a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III person, you’re entitled to compensation. After the buggy launch of the Season 1 Reloaded update, Activision is giving away a “thank you” care package. This includes an extension of the Double XP event, which is now running until January 24, as well as 1-hour 2XP tokens for Player, Battle Pass, and Weapon within 48 hours of logging in.
Double XP won’t exactly make up for your lost matches, but at the very least, getting back up to speed will be somewhat easier. If you were waiting until the weekend to jump into the season, you’re in luck, because the past few days have been rough.

Read moreGhostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is the latest asymmetrical experience to grace our gaming libraries. Acting like a sequel of sorts to the most recent film, it features a ton of fan-favorite references. It also sports the typical PvP elements this genre is known for. The player controlling the ghost will need to haunt a given location while avoiding their proton pack-carrying rivals. The four Ghostbusters, on the other hand, will need to work together to trap the ghost player in a manner that doesn’t result in major property damage.
Whether you’re looking to scare the pants off NPCs or hunt down ghosts with friends, victory doesn’t come easy. Ghosts have a nice arsenal of tricks to contend with. The same goes for the Ghostbusters and their upgradable equipment. The players that learn how to utilize these items/abilities at the right time will usually come out on top. Below are a few tips that’ll help you get through the beginner stages of Ghostbuster…

Read moreCall of Duty’s Season 3 Reloaded has arrived, bringing an ’80s Action Heroes event that features John Rambo and John McClane. And with Die Hard’s John McClane comes the movie’s iconic Nakatomi Plaza to Warzone, which has a lootable vault of $100,000.
Nakatomi Plaza has replaced the Broadcast Tower in Downtown, now serving as Verdansk’s tallest building. There are also optional missions around the plaza that will help you get into a vault loaded with cash.
The vault is located on the 31st floor, and it contains three safety deposit boxes that each require their own keycard to unlock. You can access the vault using any of the three keycards, but you’ll need all three keycards to cash out with all the money. Here’s how to obtain the Warzone keycards needed to loot Nakatomi Plaza’s vault.
I recommend attempting the cash grab in Warzone’s Plunder mode with a squad of friends, as Nakatomi Plaza is a pr…

Lucasfilm has not yet commented on Lloyd joining the Star Wars series, which makes sense as not much else is known about the next batch of Mandalorian episodes. Other guest stars have included Bill Burr, Amy Sedaris, Horatio Sanz, Carl Weathers, Ming-Na Wen (whose character was spun off into The Book of Boba Fett), and Jake Cannavale.

Read moreMarvel Studios has never been shy about making some changes to the source material, but things are going to be very different for Anthony Ramos’ character, Parker Robbins, in Ironheart. For one thing, Parker’s comic book counterpart doesn’t really have any direct connection to Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), the young woman behind Ironheart’s armor. But according to Ramos, Parker’s transformation into The Hood will be relatively true to the spirit of his character.
“I get to play this villain, The Hood, and Parker Robbins in the comics, he gets this hood, and it’s too powerful for him,” Ramos told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s overwhelming, and it starts to damage his body. You can see it on the outside, and you can see how it’s even affecting him on the inside and his personality and how it’s actually, literally, physically and mentally and emotionally breaking him, but it’s giving him so much power that he’s addicted. He’s like, ‘I can’t let it go.'”
